The head of the Circle: stabilini with an open standard will dominate

The head of the bitcoin startup Circle Jeremy Allair expressed confidence that the stablecoin on the basis of open standards will dominate the coins issued by individual companies.

"We have chosen a consortium model. At the heart of Fiat money on the Internet should be open standards that can be implemented by many companies. There must be a mechanism of self — government, a technological standard and a framework for membership," he said.

Allair added that he is positive about the proposed launch of stablecoin from Facebook, but the development of individual companies, in his opinion, will be inferior to stable coins with open standards.

"We need HTTP FOR money on the Internet."

This opinion is shared by the founders of the bitcoin exchange Gemini brothers Winklevoss. Despite the fact that the so-called Facebook Coin is a positive signal for the industry, this project, they believe, will have serious limitations.

Recall, Circle formed a consortium Centre around stablecoin USDC. It includes giants Coinbase and Bitmain.
